Cherry Blossoms

Ellie’s project started as a celebration of everything “pink”.

It slowly evolved into a photographic study of “Cherry Blossoms” flowers, otherwise known by their native name “Sakura’s” (さくら). Ellie also looked at the “Cute” aka “Kawaii” (かわいい or 可愛い) Culture in Japan and how it’s influenced the Western world.

The collection of Ellie’s “Cherry Blossoms” is a self-reflection of herself and the literal interpretation of what a “Cherry Blossom” means. It shows Ellie’s personal “Cherry Blossoms”, things that make her think of “Cherry” and “Kawaii” things in her life and how she made it a part of her aesthetic.
